About Mr Topstep

Hello I want to introduce myself. My name is Danny Riley; the owner of www.mrtopstep.com. Today is the first day of my new Mr Top Step blog. While my punctuation and wording maybe a bit off my message will be clear! I have been in the S&P 500 futures since 1985 and I have caught every major market move from the 87 CRASH to the CREDIT CRISIS. I started as a runner in the grain room running order tickets to and from the desk to the pits. Then I moved into the CBOTs bonds where I worked with many of the top traders in the Market Wizards book no1. Around 1985 I was asked to go to the CME where I ended up building one of the largest “floor” index desks in the CMEs history. The reason people liked using the desk was because we fought for the customer. It didn’t matter if it was a 1 lot or a 500 lot it was someone money and we treated it that way.

I have over 11 years with or S&P index report I wrote and in the next few weeks we are not only going to tell you what we are hearing and seeing from the floor but we are going to start talking about the disconnect between what we do on the trading floor vs. the public idea that the "Floor is DEAD".
